PURPOSE: To provide resources, education, and a variety of activities that focus on prevention and wellness.
- Make a suggestion box for health information or concerns.
- Monthly health tips in Sunday’s proposed order of Worship Service.
- Create a Health information table of pamphlets.
- Present the Monthly National, State, or Local Health Information by pamphlets, verbal presentation or reading material.
- Annual “Friends and Family/Health Fair Day” in September .
Goals for 2016

- Provide health information in response to suggestions/concerns.
- Monthly health tips in Sunday’s proposed order of Worship Service.
- Create a health information table for pamphlets.
- Blood pressure and glucose checks on the fourth Sunday.
- Attend quarterly Health Focus Group meeting at Samford University. (3/11, 6/3, 9/2, 12/2)
- Acknowledge the month Awareness for Heart (February) red, Colorectal Cancer (March) dark blue, Stroke (June), and Diabetes (November) grey on the fourth Sunday. Encourage the congregation to wear the health awareness month color.
- Coordinate Health Fair with Family/Friends Day in September.

Breast Cancer Walk October 15, 2016 at Linn Park, Birmingham

Diabetes educational presentation on November 27, 2016 by TBA immediately after church service.
